The broadest — and strangest — catalogue of the majors.
Prime Video is two services bolted together. There's the subscription catalogue bundled with a Prime membership, and there's a full rental-and-purchase store sitting on top of it. The result is the single largest place to *find* a title, even when that title isn't free to watch.
The subscription side skews older and weirder than Netflix. It's where a half-remembered 1990s thriller, a cult horror film, and a big-budget Amazon original like The Boys or Fallout sit side by side. The depth of back-catalogue is real, and it's the reason Prime Video is often the answer when nobody else has a thing.
Use it for: breadth, older films, and the "it's probably on Prime" long-shot. Don't expect it for: a clean, curated interface — the store and the subscription mix together, which is exactly what trips people up.
