Disney Plus

Disney+ is the least general-purpose service and the most purposeful one. Its catalogue is a set of vaults — Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney Animation, National Geographic, and (where the local rights allow) Hulu and Star content. If you are here for one franchise, you will stay for the ring of related titles around it.

This focus cuts both ways. Disney+ is unmatched for a chronological MCU rewatch, a Star Wars marathon, or a Pixar run with a kid. It is noticeably thin for anything outside those lanes — there is no broad adult drama library here, and the non-franchise films are mostly back-catalogue.

Use it for: franchise completionism, family viewing, and 4K versions of animated classics. Don't expect it for: a wide spread of new, non-Disney films, or the kind of deep adult catalogue the other majors carry.

For most people it's a second or third subscription, and it earns that slot with certainty rather than breadth.
